Celebrations: Festive Fall Tablescape on a Budget

‘Tis this season for holiday entertaining and I am going all out on my tablescape this fall! Not only am I going to get everything I need to make my house festive, but I am going to do it all while staying on budget, especially with those extra holiday expenses.

Head to your local Dollar Tree for seasonal décor, dishes, glassware, candles, and more! With each elegant item costing just one dollar each, you can outfit every place setting beautifully without compromising cost or style. This special attention to detail will make your Thanksgiving meal unforgettable and make your guests feel loved!

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • Gold Charger Plates
  • White Dinnerware
  • Faux Fall Leaves (I used garland and individual burlap pieces)
  • Marker
  • Silverware
  • Placemats (I used orange)
  • Burlap Ribbon
  • Twine
  • Lighter (Warning: Must be 18 years or older to use)
  • Scissors
  • Glassware (Wine glasses, water glasses, etc.)
  • Optional: Glue, Faux Pumpkins, Candles, and Candleholders

Time to Set the Table!

1. Set the Scene

Using faux fall leaves garland, create a festive fall foliage chandelier. Use different sprigs and vines of leaves to easily wrap around any light fixture. Glue or drape a few leaves over the table to create a cascading arrangement!

2. Layout Your Place Settings

Using gold charger plates, orange placemats, white dishes, and glassware, set your place settings.

3. Wrap Your Silverware

Use burlap ribbon, twine, or foliage to create silverware holders. Gather your silverware, wrap and tie them to give your place setting a rustic touch!

4. Create Name Cards

Use pinecones from your own backyard paired with faux burlap leaves to create place cards for your guests.

5. It’s All About the Accents

Use a variety of candles, faux pumpkins, and additional décor elements to add seasonal touches of décor and create a stunning yet affordable tablescape.
